ABW offers the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills to run your own company. Students attend school to prepare themselves for the world beyond the classroom. That world, no matter what they do, will involve "business" at some level.

Students develop skills in the Key Competencies, identified as necessary by employers. ABW also facilitates the development of enterprise in schools and fosters an enterprising culture in the community.

After managing their own multi million dollar company for a week with the help of mentors, students discover the variety of skills needed to run a successful business. They learn to co-operate as a team to complete complex tasks. The week culminates in presentations by each company and an awards ceremony, giving all participants a sense of achievement and pride.
