The Global Enterprise Challenge is a national challenge involving a number of Australian teams competing over 24 hours for a chance to be chosen as the winning representative for Australia. Each team develops a solution and produces a short report including a business plan and marketing presentation. The winning Australian team then goes on to compete against other teams internationally via the web.

The GEC Qualifier program is designed specifically for schools wanting to qualify to represent Australia in the Global Enterprise Challenge. In 2010 the qualifier program will be based on the Manufacturing Simulation. Participants are required to take over an established Sporting Goods Manufacturer and run the company for a simulated period.

This program involves each participating team to submit a team of 10 students to run a company via the online simulation for 8 quarters. The teams are also required to deliver their solution to a challenge through a business plan and video recording of a 3 minute oral presentation including a PowerPoint presentation.

The top 5 teams will be offered the opportunity to enter a team in the Global Enterprise Challenge.
