Here is an opportunity for your or a team of up to 10 colleagues from your school to take part in a challenge that will test your problem solving skills and build enthusiasm (while bonding with your colleagues) as you compete against teachers from other schools across Australia.
The challenge is to take over a full service hotel and run it for a simulated one year. Teacher teams make all the decisions necessary to run their hotel in a simulated global marketplace.
There are four sets of decisions, one a week in real time which are sent to ABW via the internet and then processed on the ABW server. A new set of financial reports are then accessible over the internet soon after the decision deadline to enable you to work on your strategy before the next deadline. Excitement builds each Quarter as the original share price of $5 grows or declines according to the appropriateness of the decisions made by each company.
