Teachers Program 2 - Retail

Overview

Here is an opportunity for your or a team of up to 10 colleagues from your school to take part in a challenge that will test your problem solving skills and build enthusiasm (while bonding with your colleagues) as you compete against teachers from other schools across Australia.

The challenge is to take over an established Retail - Consumer Electronics company and run the company for simulated one year. Teacher teams make all the decisions necessary to run their company in a simulated global marketplace.

There are four sets of decisions, one a week in real time which are sent to ABW via the internet and then processed via the ABW Simulation Website. A new set of financial reports are then accessible over the internet soon after the decision deadline to enable you to work on your strategy before the next deadline.

The Retail Simulation models a small proprietor owned business. An algorithm will assess each company's performance having regard to profit, market share, turnover and growth. This value will be expressed numerically and the company with the highest number will be determined the winner.
